Preface
The group known today as Team501 was created by Kasper in the year 2000 under the name GroundzeroHQ.com. The group started out playing WWII first person shooters under the clan name 501 Parachute Infantry Regiment (aka 501 PIR). In the years to follow we spread out into other gaming genres including but not limited to titles: Day of Defeat, Battlefield 1942, Call of Duty, Battlefield 2, Planetside, CounterStrike Source, Day of Defeat Source, Call of Duty 2, Battlefield 2142, Quake Wars, Teamfortress 2, World of Warcraft, Warhammer Online and today we add Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Starcraft 2 to the long list of titles our team plays together. In order to support our ever changing progression we adapted our site name to Team501.com.
"Pandemic" Guild Charter
Team501 is a casual multi-gaming organization. Our World of Warcraft guild, known as "Pandemic", is actively raiding Ice Crown Citiadel (aka ICC) on the Thunderhorn server. We have opted to take a casual semi raiding approach to our guild. What does this mean? In order to balance RL (real life) and VL (virtual life) we have strayed from tools like DKP and mandatory game time. While we all aspire to be the best at what we do, we will never be able to compete with those fully vested into their VL.
