Seriously, you should quit your costco job and just make cool shit like this. I would pay for it if the price was reasonable. |

I was thinking of doing a set of the Hearthstones and hitting ebay with them. There may be a special 501 only set too. Maybe for the launch of a certain expansion pack.... |

That's a great idea terron. I would probably prefer the wallplug. Agree with X!!! I would pay for this type of stuff too. |

Blue or red would be cool. I think wall plug, but I think people would like USB as well or instead of... they have wall plugs for USB so you could make them USB and provide the wall plug as an option. Which one would cost more to make? Go with the cheaper one to see if they take off or make them both and offer them at different prices. How long does it take you approximately to make? A good rule of thumb for production... whatever you price them at should cover your cost of materials, (rental of workshop space, shipping if included, etc.), the cost of your time (whatever you decide to pay yourself) plus 30% for profit. You can play around with those numbers a bit depending on your tax bracket... pay yourself less to have more profit for your "company". I used to make wooden toys for toddlers... when I could charge $20 for a toy I could scrape out a living... at $10 I couldn't... no matter how well I sourced the materials. |
