*Not entirely sure this is where this goes, but it’s where it is going*

    Characters:

    Zcallia
    Level 80 Hunter
    http://www.wowarmory.com/character-...&n=Zcallia

    Trulu
    Level 80 Druid
    http://www.wowarmory.com/character-...rn&n=Trulu

*I prefer playing my hunter, but due to a lack of players who are willing to play their tanks and healers, I usually wind up on the druid. So, if I had it my way, I would like to play the hunter for most encounters, but have no problem substituting in the druid if the need arose.*

    Specs:

The hunter is Beast Mastery (PvP) and Marksman (PvE) specced. I do not like the BM spec that she currently has. It remains a work in progress - if anyone has any suggestion on how to spec a PvP BM hunter - I’m all ears. As for MM; I hate this spec, but it has so far proven to maximize my DPS. If Blizzard ever fixes BM again, that will be my PvE spec, since that is what it has been until a few months ago, and it is also the spec I am most comfortable with.

As for the druid, she is specced only for PvE: Restoration and Feral (Tanking). She is specced the way she is, because any other way just seems like a waste of talent points to me. IMPORTANT: Many players who see me tank, state the obvious: “You do not have a lot of hit points for a druid!” This is because I am a mitigation tank … I will work on a stam set, as well as a DPS set, but I believe in having one solid set instead of throwing clothes together that do not match (stat wise that is). Getting 4.5 different sets takes time though.

What do you believe your class' role is in a 25/10man/5man:

When tanking: Take reasonable amounts of damage, react to situations as they come up, keep your cool when DPS tries to prove a point by split DPSing and pulling aggro, know the fights and the mobs‘ characteristics. This basically means that if you are in a raid with multiple tanks, do not intentionally tank everything, do not pull excessive groups, and when additional mobs are accidentally pulled, go with the flow and pick them up.

When DPSing: Do the maximum amount of damage possible without pulling aggro - there is a reason hunters have a “feign death” button, know the fights and mob characteristics.

When healing: If players are staying alive, then someone is doing their job. If players happen to die, automatically assume it is your fault and try and fix it. Knowing the fights and mob characteristics is a plus but not always a necessity.

*In any situation: Be capable of assigning roles and duties and calling out special stuff*

    Professions:

Hunter: Skinning (450/450), Alchemy (450/450) as Elixir Master, Fishing (450/450), Cooking (450/450) with almost every recipe, First Aid (450/450)
Druid: Herbing (450/450), Enchanting (450/450), First Aid (450/450)

Do you have any other alts?(if so please list):

Jøy: My level 19 twink warlock, which I play in tournaments form time to time
Various others, but not worth mentioning.

    Age:

    I am 23.

Tell us a little about yourself? Job/Hobbies/sports/anything:

I live in EST. My work schedules vary. I work for a veterinary clinic, sometimes morning, sometimes evening; on my mornings “off” I work for a German Shepherd breeder; any other time “off” I may have, I train dogs, run and play WoW. Therefore, I do not know when I can raid and when I cannot. However, I have no intention on being labeled a “full time” raider. I have no problem sitting out for players whose raid attendance is better than mine. Oh, and sleep is good too

    What is your raid experience:

    10/25 Naxx (some achievements)
10/25 OS (some achievements and 3d for both - you will notice that Trulu does NOT have the 10 man achievement, but Kreigen does…since I don’t care much about gear and achievements, I played a friends paladin)
    10/25 EoE (some achievements)
10-man Ulduar (1st boss only - we went in for fun and downed him- no clue how though - roflmao)

BC: Kara, Gruul, Mags, ZA, BT, MH -all full clears

I did not play WoW for Pre-BC content.

What guild are you coming from and why are you leaving:

All Skill No Gear: This is a 19 twink guild. I am not sure I am leaving this guild, just inquiring into yours. This is merely a safe haven for my toons to avoid recruiting spams and scams after VDoP disbanded.

Vulgar Display of Power: This was a great raiding guild a few months back, but unfortunately had a few rough months and in the end disbanded. I owe a lot of people originally in this guild my raid-content-experience. I would have never put up with my nubly self

Anything else you would like us to know:

-I am not entirely sure that I will continue to play the game, as I am not sure that I really want to join another guild.
-I wrote entirely too much, but at the same time, I do not care
-As I did with your recruiting template and I do when I raid with strangers (as some of you might have noticed): I try to go with what the majority knows and does, but if it does not work for me, or doesn’t work period, I have no problem altering things and stating my opinion to try and get things done. Not everyone thinks and acts the same…so what’s rational to you may make no sense to someone else. At the same time, I think I take criticism pretty well. So I’m not all talk…occasionally I can listen.
-I like to have fun in-game. To do so, I do not have to be raiding. Gear and achievements really don’t mean that much. The reason I have gear is so that I can actually be “helpful”.

    Questions I have for you:

    1. What is the guild’s goal in the game?
    2. I do understand you post your raiding schedule in the forums online, but how do you determine when raids are done?
    3. How open is the guild to new ideas and new strategies for already “cleared” content
    4. How well does the guild help each other out?
    5. Are there players that believe that they should not spend any time or effort on any of their toons and still be guaranteed a raiding spot? And do you give that spot to them?
    6. Do you have a guild bank, if so, how does it function?

*I’ll let that be it for now I think. Please feel free to respond to this post, or in-game. I’m open for further questioning also, if necessary…lol*

Wow, thanks for the post!  To address your questions...

    1. What is the guild’s goal in the game?

I believe the goal at the moment is to try and consistently raid 25 man instances from week to week.  We do have some people that are geared for Ulduar, but we are currently working on 25 Naxx, so as to get everyone on the same page.  We do have several people that are geared and fully capable of running Ulduar.  If we do not have enough people to fill a 25 man instance, then we downgrade the raid to a 10 man raid.  If the appropriately geared people are on, the preference would be to run Ulduar.

    2. I do understand you post your raiding schedule in the forums online, but how do you determine when raids are done?

We have actually recently modified this, to post the raids EXCLUSIVELY on the WoW Guild calendar.  We are still working to set raid days... but it is looking like Tues, Thurs, Fri, and Sunday are our top days.

    3. How open is the guild to new ideas and new strategies for already “cleared” content

I am not quite sure what you mean here.... do you mean, if we have a raid on farm?  If so, my feelings are... "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."  However, I believe if we are struggling on a boss, we adapt and change things around accordingly to fit the needs to the group.

    4. How well does the guild help each other out?

I believe we help each other out fairly well.  I know people lend/give other people money, raw materials, help on quests, instances, etc. Also, many people put extra materials they do not use into the guild bank, or have contributed gold or other things to help with purchasing the guild bank tabs.   Not really sure if there was anything else you were looking for here...

    5. Are there players that believe that they should not spend any time or effort on any of their toons and still be guaranteed a raiding spot? And do you give that spot to them?

Basically.... what it comes down to is... if you don't know how to play your class, don't bother showing up.  We're not here to drag newbies through instances.  That beaing said... if we do come accross an encounter in which someone has not done it before, I have no problem explaining the basics to them.  I just do not want to be dragging  people through instances to gear them up.

    6. Do you have a guild bank, if so, how does it function?

Yes, we have a guild bank, with all the tabs purchased.  Basically, we have the tabs organized into vairous categroies, such as "General" "Food and Elixers"  "Crafting"  Precious Items"... things like that.  And, each rank in the guild has a different amount of access to each tab.  The higher the rank you get, you would get more access to other tabs, as well as more stacks of items that can be removed.

Heya Trulu! I just wanted to add that we don't have an attendance policy as the vast majority of the guild consists of adults and all of the rl things (family, jobs, etc) that go along with it. So if people can't make raids they simply can't make raids and we don't punish them for having a life outside of warcraft; we'll just pug the spots we need to fill the raid if we don't have a full complement of guildies. The goal of the game is to have fun and that's what we try to do while at the same time progressing at a reasonable pace.

    Trulu,

Good to see you on these forums.  Your wall of text did crit me for about 10k, but it was mostly in heals.  I can't really add too much to what my fellow guildies have said except - My name is Xerxes (aka Atalantia) and I fully endorse this thread.  I will add ya to my friends list for future raids and such.  It was great playing with ya last night.  Great heals!

Now it's my turn to answer some questions:

    1. What is the guild’s goal in the game?

Bacially we want to raid whatever we can on set nights to make some kind of progress.  Out current guild is a merging of 2 guilds who had like-minded people.  We are not hardcore radiers and realize many members have real life obligations.  But we all enjoy raiding PERIOD.

<--------- In addition to Havoc's info, we try to start raids at 7 server/ 8 est.  Weeknight raids usually end around 10 or 1030 est, while weekend raids end 1-2 hours later, but if a guildie has to leave early that is not an issue, as long as you bring me doughnuts.

    3. How open is the guild to new ideas and new strategies for already “cleared” content

Sometimes new ideas/strats for already cleared content means trying for a hard mode achievement if possible with current group make up.  In general we are always open to new ideas.

    4. How well does the guild help each other out?

I would like to think pretty well.

    5. Are there players that believe that they should not spend any time or effort on any of their toons and still be guaranteed a raiding spot? And do you give that spot to them?

NO!  If you show  you are dedicated, cooperative, and personable you

    6. Do you have a guild bank, if so, how does it function?

    What Havoc said....

    Xerxes aka Atalantia

Hello, and welcome to the guild Pandemic!

You have now been granted access to AREA 501.

As a recruit, before you can begin raiding, you will need to head over to the WoW Guild - Pandemic forums and check in at the RECRUITMENT DEPOT thread, located HERE.  Once you have done so, you will be allowed to sign up for raids in the War Room forum.  Additionally, once you have checked in, you will no longer be a recruit, and your guild rank will be changed accoringly.

Some information you may find useful:

The WoW Guild - Pandemic forum is used for general WoW information, questions, guides, tips, etc.
The War Room is used to sign-up for events, like RAIDS.

Currently, RAIDS are scheduled ONLY on the in game calendar.  Only those that sign up for a RAID are reserved a spot in the RAID.  Simply showing up and wanting to play at RAID time does not guarantee you a spot in the RAID.  Failure to show up for a RAID you have signed up for will become problematic should it become a habit.
